HOW TO CLEAN MY JEWELRY

If you wear your jewelry every day, you may notice that after time, the stones and gold in your ring, necklace or earrings, are not as brilliant.   With every-day wear, jewelry tends to look dull. Finger prints, lotion, soap, etc., all are the culprits for such- and if you like to garden or sculpt, you may get some extra dirt in the crevices of your jewelry.  Well, do not worry my friends, for I have a very simple solution that you can use at home to help keep your jewelry clean.  If your jewelry is extremely dirty though, you will have to bring it in to have it professionally cleaned and we can do this at no cost to you- if it needs buffing and polishing we can do that as well for a very affordable fee.  After this, for maintaining your item, or if your item does not need a deep cleaning, you may do the following:

In a small container, pour in a mixture of
1/3 Mr. Clean
1/3 Water
1/3 Ammonia

Although you can leave your item in the solution for a couple of hours, I sometimes recommend leaving it in overnight, after this you can use an old toothbrush (or a clean one if you wish) and just brush all around the piece (especially behind any stones) following by a rise of warm water and voila! You have clean and brilliant jewelry!

Please note: The above solution is not recommended for opals, pearls or emeralds.

I hope this information helps and you if have any questions please leave a comment.
